This AMC 390 crate engine by Tuff Dawg Engines would be EXCELLENT for that AMC, AMX, Javelin, etc. It will set you back in the seat with good all around power and has a nice muscle car idle. This engine comes equipped with a Edelbrock Dual Plane Air Gap square bore flange intake that works best with a 750cfm carb (not included) and will run on leaded or unleaded Premium pump fuel.

The balanced rotating assembly (typically includes crankshaft, pistons, rings, connecting rods, rod bearings, and balancer) featured in this engine:

• 3.570" stroke forged steel crank
• 5.858" forged connecting rods reconditioned with ARP rod bolts
• 10½ to 1 compression pistons

• Oiling modifications include a front to rear steel oil tube - This steel tube takes oil from the front of the block to the rear of the block where it is needed most.
  Gallery to gallery equalization tube in the rear of the block.
  Lifter valley drilled for faster oil return to the oil pan.
• All parts are painted separately before assembly for that show quality look

This engine comes completely assembled with oil pan, timing cover, harmonic balancer, chrome valve covers, and an Edelbrock Dual Plane Air Gap aluminum intake manifold.
