This Chevy 305 crate engine by Tuff Dawg Engines would be EXCELLENT
for just about any street car, pickup truck, 4X4, and some marine
applications (call or email us for details). With strong torque and
excellent mileage it has good all around power, and works well with either a
manual or automatic transmission. This engine can be used with a stock stall
speed torque converter and has a great power band from idle to 4600 RPM's. This engine will run on leaded or unleaded pump
fuel.
The balanced rotating assembly (typically includes crankshaft,
pistons, rings, connecting rods, rod bearings, and balancer) featured in
this engine:
- 3.484" stroke nodular iron crank
- 5.7" forged rods with ARP rod bolts
- 8½ to 1 compression pistons
More special features of this engine include:
- Seasoned 2-bolt main block
- Deck head gasket surface on block to ensure a good seal
- New CompCams hydraulic flat tappet cam that puts the focus on torque and gas mileage with a smooth idle
- New 1.250" high performance springs set up to match cam
- New High temperature valve seals
- New Spiral-type valve guides
- New Screw-in rocker studs with guide plates
- New Steel rocker arms with balls and nuts
- New Hardened push rods
- New Perfect Circle rings
- New Double row timing set
- New High volume oil pump with welded big pickup screen and
steel drive shaft and steel guide
- New Revolutionary 1-pc design molded rubber oil pan gasket with
load limiters to prevent over-tightening and higher temperature resistance
than standard cork-rubber gaskets

This Is A Real Turnkey Engine
This engine has been started on gas and run. The camshaft has been broken in and the valves adjusted. Carburetor and timing has
been initially set, but should be checked after installing in vehicle.
Also included and installed on engine:
- New Chrome oil pan
- New Chrome timing cover with Chevrolet "bowtie" stamped in the middle
- New Chrome valve covers with "bowtie" stamp to match timing cover
- New Chrome air cleaner
- New Chrome dipstick and chrome tube
- New 600cfm Holley carburetor with electric choke and vacuum secondaries
- New Mechanical fuel pump. Does not need external fuel regulator to control fuel as the regulator is built into the pump
- New Chrome dual feed fuel line
- New Fuel filter
- New PCV valve
- New MSD HEI distributor. This distributor has the centrifugal advance assembled with coated weights and welded weight pins (not pressed in like other models)
- New Accel 8mm suppression spark plug wires
- New Spark plugs
- New Water pump with long nose
- New Chrome water pump pulley
- New Chrome crankshaft pulley
- New Chrome 1-wire alternator
- New Chrome alternator brackets
- New Water outlet

- This engine has been started on gas and run. Carburetor and timing has

Exhaust manifolds, hoses, fan, accessory belts (except alternator belt),
radiator, linkage or miscellaneous.
