This Chevy 383 crate engine by Tuff Dawg Engines would be EXCELLENT for a Street/Strip car, Street Rod,
or Weekend Toy. With 505HP @ 5800rpm and 502ft lbs of torque @ 4700rpm this
engine has a rough idle and will run on leaded or unleaded 91 Octane pump
fuel.
The balanced rotating assembly (typically includes 3.750" stroke
crankshaft, forged pistons, file-fit rings, 6" high performance connecting
rods, hardened racing rod bearings, race style balancer, and heavy duty
flexplate) featured in this engine:
- 3.750" stroke cast/steel crank
- 6" I-beam racing rods
- 10½ to 1 compression forged flat top pistons
More special features of this engine include:
- Seasoned 4-bolt main block with one piece rear main seal to prevent
oil leaks
- Block has provision for mechanical fuel pump
- Engine comes with heavy duty race style automatic transmission
flexplate - 14" diameter, 168 teeth
- Deck head gasket surface on block to ensure a good seal
- New Hydraulic flat tappet cam with .540" valve lift
- New Aluminum heads with bronze guides, hardened valve seats for
use with leaded, unleaded or race fuels, 64cc chamber, 2.02"Int/1.600"Exh
swirl polished stainless valves with undercut stems for improved
flow.
- Deburr casting and smooth exhaust ports

- New Chrome moly retainers and hardened keepers

than standard cork-rubber gaskets

- New Edelbrock Air Gap aluminum intake manifold. The RPM Air Gap
is a race winning proven design. The air gap design features an open air
space that seperates the runners from the hot engine oil resulting in a
cooler, denser charge for more power. Tuff Dawg Engines use the "real"
Edelbrock intake manifold, Not an overseas copy!

This engine comes completely assembled with chrome oil pan, chrome
dipstick and tube, chrome timing cover, race style harmonic balancer, chrome
valve covers, and an Edelbrock Air Gap aluminum intake manifold.
This engine is covered by a 1 year written warranty.
