
This Chevy 496 crate engine by Tuff Dawg Engines would be EXCELLENT for a street/strip car, street rod,
pickup, or jet boat. Remove that old Chevy 454 and install this 600HP Chevy 496 to bring your ride
to life! This engine has a rough idle. It is a good 4-speed engine. If you
are using an A/T, a 3000+rpm stall speed converter is recommended.
The balanced rotating assembly includes:
- 4.250" stroke nodular iron crank
- 6.385" Forged I-beam rods
- With 10 to 1 compression there is no need to mix fuel, this engine
will run on Premium pump gas
